What cookies we use

TressTime's website only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to make the site work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers your booking flow as you move between pages, and a security cookie used to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

Why we don't ask for cookie consent

Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you've actively requested - such as staying signed in or completing a booking - are exempt from the requirement to ask for consent. Because every cookie we set falls into that category, we don't show a cookie consent banner. If we ever introduce analytics, advertising, or any other non-essential cookies, we'll update this page and add a consent mechanism before doing so.

The mobile app

The TressTime mobile app does not use browser cookies. It stores a sign-in token securely on your device so you don't have to log in every time you open the app, which serves the same strictly-necessary purpose as the website's session cookie.

Managing cookies

Because our cookies are needed for the site to function, blocking them in your browser will likely prevent you from signing in or completing a booking. You're free to clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so simply signs you out.
